With the royal nuptials of Meghan and Harry still fresh in everyone’s minds, we ponder the ever-changing
dynamic of marriage. While love may be eternal, there is a new generation who is celebrating their passion
on their terms. They find love online, boundaries of class, race, gender, and faith are transcended and,
their ceremonies are no longer following a set script but reflect the individuality of the couple.
In the ‘Lifetime of Lifestyle‘ collection, Rado Switzerland
has joined forces with renowned trend forecaster Lidewij Edelkoort to explore how the wristwatch
fits into the shifting zeitgeist of love and marriage in these modern times.
The location is old industrial with bare cement floors. The big day is a cool affair in the heart of the city for the Urban Romantics who embrace a lifestyle of design-driven elegance.
The music is jazz, the cake constructivist, and the drinks hand-crafted.
The Minimal Romantics enjoy an environment that is sparse and open. From a room with restrained style and elegant detailing where the philosophy is one of yin and yang, comes an aesthetic which is generous yet minimal.
The couple celebrates with sake cocktails and a pair of timepieces, one gold-rimmed mother-of-pearl and the other handsome with
a vintage dial.
She is cool and collected, and he is outgoing; together they are Classic Romantics a pair that can bridge any divide. They share their vows dressed in white while chamber music forms an elegant background.
Their day is picture perfect with
their darling dog gifting her a sparkling white watch and, for him, a serious traditional piece.
The adage ‘Something old, something borrowed, something blue…’ speaks to the Bohemian Romantics. They savour bygone eras to give them a sense of place in time. Connecting the love of vintage Victoriana and Bohemian romance, this couple yearns for the straightforwardness of old-fashioned love.
Together they share a style in chrome and diamonds for a modern twist.

From day one, Rado has turned visions into concrete realities.
