Respecting the character of the main house, this single-storey 832-square-foot custom-built laneway home is designed with soaring 17-foot vaulted cathedral-style ceilings and with longevity in mind. Thoughtfulness is carried throughout the home’s design for aging in place, as the 93-year-old homeowner plans ahead with an accessible layout, including convenient bedroom placement, walk- or wheel-in shower with a bench, and side-by-side laundry configuration, which is more functional than a typical stacker design.
